Vijay’s ‘Pagalavan’ On Track!!!

Vijay’s next venture ‘Pagalavan’ is directed by Seeman. This is a very important movie for Vijay as his role is entirely different, something that he has not done before in his career. The shooting of this movie as per the plan was to start a year ago but due to few reasons it was put on hold. The actor was busy with other upcoming movies of his like ‘Velayudham’ and ‘Nanban’, which delayed starting the shoot for the movie ‘Pagalavan’. Vijay pairs with two beautiful heroines Hansika Motwani and Bhavana. Bhavana will be pairing up with Vijay for the first time in her career, and Hansika will be sharing the screen with Vijay for the second time.

Vijay In Maniratnam’s Movie

Vijay’s ‘Velayudham’ is expected to release on his birthday(June 22). His fans would have thought of celebrating his birthday with the release of their much awaited movie ‘Velayudham’. But due to his concurrent shooting for Shankar’s ‘Nanban’ too, a song sequence and a grand climax is yet to be shot. So ‘Velayudham’ might not be releasing on his birthday. The audio launch might be released either on June-end or early July.

His long term dream has come true of working with the ACE directors like Shankar and Maniratnam is coming true. It was said that Vijay has signed Maniratnam ‘Ponniyin Selvan’, but due to some financial and other reasons it been called off and now the director’s next movie is most likely to feature Vijay in the lead role. When the director approached Vijay to take on an action role on the same call-sheet dates that he had given for Ponniyin Selvan. Vijay immediately signed in the agreement and the film has now been planned with a lumpsum made with a budget of Rs.25 crores. Stay tuned to Filmmy to get more updates on this…

Illayathalapathy Vijay’s upcoming Tamil movie ‘Velayudham’ is directed by Jayam M.Raja. Vijay, Genelia in the lead roles. Hansika Motwani and Saranya Mohan are doing an important roles. ‘Velayudham’ is Vijay’s 52nd movie. Nearly 80% of the movie has been completed and only the climax is yet to be shot. Vijay promotes the first look of ‘Velayudham’ on Jaya TV. It is an entertaining movie and Vijay plays a role of a milkman in ‘Velayudham’.

Ajith And Vijay Share The Screen

Recently Vijay and Ajith met each other on the sets of ‘Mankatha’. Both of them have expressed a desire to act together in a film. The actors were involved in a deep discussion during the shooting of ‘Velayudham’ and Mankatha, which took place in the same location.

The stars are said to have discussed the possibility of starring together and were surprised that director Venkat Prabhu had a story ready for them. Ajith and Vijay were curious about this project and they have requested Venkat to refine the screenplay further with lots of comedy, action, and romance. Lets us keep our fingers crossed…

Shankar’s ‘Nanban’ Shooting Spot Stills

Shankar’s ‘Nanban’ has started its shooting in Ooty and has completed the first schedule. Jeeva, Srikanth, S.J Surya, Ileana, cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa along with other crew have enjoyed working with director Shankar. Manoj Paramahamsa is the cinematographer of the film.Music for this movie is by Harris Jayaraj and he has already recorded a song, lyrics for few songs are penned by Madhan Karky of Endhiran fame and Na.Muthukumar is busy with a few more songs and the crew is working hard to make every song a hit.

Shankar has planned to start the second schedule of ‘Nanban’ in this month and Ilayathalapathy Vijay will be joining them in this schedule.

Vijay To Join ’3 Idiots’ Shooting On Feb 7th

Recent sources has confirmed that Vijay will be in Shankar’s remake of ’3 Idiots’. Vijay will be joining the sets of ’3 Idiots’ on February 7th, 2011. The official shooting has already started in Ooty this month. Music for this movie is composed by Harris Jayaraj. He has already composed a song and this song will be filmed for the lead pair Vijay and Ileana on his first day on the sets.
