Illayathalapathy Vijay is back to his form. After facing many hurdles in his career now Vijay has got many impressive projects in his hand. A happy news is that Vijay will be doing the role of Vandhiya Thevan in the historical project ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ immortalized by Kalki Krishnamurthy to be directed by director Mani Ratnam.

Apart from this project Vijay will also be doing the role of Aamir Khan in Nanban, the Tamil remake of ’3 Idiots’ being directed by Shankar. Not only this, Vijay will soon be wrapping up Jeyam Raja’s Velayudham where he will be seen romancing Genelia and Hansika. Lets keep our fingers crossed…

Shankar’s ‘Nanban’ has started its shooting in Ooty and has completed the first schedule. Jeeva, Srikanth, S.J Surya, Ileana, cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa along with other crew have enjoyed working with director Shankar. Manoj Paramahamsa is the cinematographer of the film.Music for this movie is by Harris Jayaraj and he has already recorded a song, lyrics for few songs are penned by Madhan Karky of Endhiran fame and Na.Muthukumar is busy with a few more songs and the crew is working hard to make every song a hit.

Shankar has planned to start the second schedule of ‘Nanban’ in this month and Ilayathalapathy Vijay will be joining them in this schedule.

Recent sources has confirmed that Vijay will be in Shankar’s remake of ’3 Idiots’. Vijay will be joining the sets of ’3 Idiots’ on February 7th, 2011. The official shooting has already started in Ooty this month. Music for this movie is composed by Harris Jayaraj. He has already composed a song and this song will be filmed for the lead pair Vijay and Ileana on his first day on the sets.

The shooting for ’3 idiots’ is expected to begin on December 6 at Dehradun. The recent news is that the director is searching for an apt hero to play Aamir’s role for his ’3 Idiots’.
