The much awaited movie of Ram Gopal Varma is ‘Ratha Charithram’. The Tamil version of this movie hit the screens today. It is well known that Raktha Charitra was released in Hindi and Telugu previously. It stars Suriya, Vivek Oberoi and Priyamani in the lead roles. It is entirely an action oriented movie. The story of this movie is based on the real life concept of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Paritala Ravi, which is being played by Vivek Oberoi in the film and Surya will be seen as Maddela Cheruvu Suri and Priyamani as his wife Gangula Bhanumathi.

This movie was a box office hit in Hindi and Telugu. Suriya and Ram Gopal Varma are expecting the same hit in Tamil as well.

Ram Gopal Varma’s movie ‘Rakta Charithra’ was released
yesterday (October 22, 2010) in both Hindi and Telugu languages. Vivek Oberoi has played the role of Paritala Ravindra and Tamil actor, Surya has played the role of Maddelacheruvu Suri in this film. Vivek Oberoi dominates the first part of this film.

Director Ram Gopal Varma’s much expected trilingual movie ‘Ratha Charithram’ is being made in all the three languages (Tamil, Telugu and Hindi). “Phoonk” is a horror movie directed by director Ram Gopal Varma. The story of Phoonk is all about black magic. Rajeev (Sudeep) is a thriving Engineer and strong agnostic. Rajeev lives with his lovely wife (Amruta Khanvilkar) and two lovely children aged 10 and 8 respectively. Rajeev is a person who does not believe in God or in black magic. But one day a person like Rajeev too starts believing in God and Black Magic when he sees his daughter possessed by some evil power.

In the movie Phoonk there is another story about a revolutionary believer of God, who is forced to become an agnostic due to some shocking situations that have happened with that person. Zakir Hussain plays the role of a fakir, who is called in at the last hour to protect Rajeev’s child from black magic.
