Nayantara is an Indian film actress. She made her acting debut in 2003 in the Malayalam film ‘Manassinakkare’. Her first debut in Tamil cinema with ‘Ayya’ (2004) and following that she acted with popular lead actors. She gave a block buster comedy hit with Rajesh’s ‘Boss Engira Bhaskaran’. The movie turned out to be a great hit. The actress is playing Goddess Sita and also has Elektra, a Malayalam movie in hand.

After a long time its nice to hear the entry of Nayantara in kollywood through the movie ‘Boss engira Baskaran’. The movie is almost at its final stage with a song left behind. The final song will be shot in London and with regards to this Nayantara will reach London soon and from there she is expected to fly to Switzerland for her first Kannada movie.

After the shooting of the Kannada movie Nayantara will stay back in Europe for a holiday before reaching India. On her comeback to India she will dub for the Malayalam movie ‘Elektra’ which also features Prakash Raj and Manisha Koirala. The interesting fact is that Prabhu Deva is not going to accompany Nayantara in any of her plans.

In recent times there are many rumors spreading like a fire about Nayantara. If asked about this, the actress says that she is not bothered about people who speaks at her back. She also said, “let anybody speak about me. I can also speak about them.” It can be perceived from her talk that she is well aware of the person spreading the rumors. The big-budgeted movie ‘Adhavan’ starring Suriya and Nayantara in lead role is on the move. The movie crew has started the shooting and the team shot in different beautiful locales in India. The movie ‘Adhavan’ is produced by Red Giant Movies, Udhyanidhi Stalin. The highlight of the movie is that yesteryear’s beauty queen Saroja Devi has got a prominent role in the movie. The other cast in the movie includes Vadivelu, Murali, FEFSI Vijayan, and Ramesh Khanna.

For the shooting of the movie ‘Adhavan’ majestic set was erected in AVM Studios and a song sequence featuring Suriya and Nayantara was shot. The team which started its shooting in Chennai relocated to Chettinadu Palace where a grand song was shot with many artists. The song was penned by Valli and was choreographed by Gayathri Raghuram. Along with the lead pair, Saroja Devi and Murali participated in the shooting of another song sequence in Darjeeling.

Now the crew will be flying to Iceland to picture a beautiful song ‘Yeno Yeno Panithuli’ penned by Thamarai. This will be the first time ever that a Tamil movie is shot in Iceland.

The Univercell Vijay Award 2009 was a grand success. The Nehru indoor stadium was packed with people and it was a star studded show. The event was attended by popular figures Tamil film industry.
