Actor ‘karthi’ to enter his Wedlock soon. His father Sivakumar has made an official announcement on this. He will marry Ranjani, a graduate from Stella Maris,chennai in MA English Literature. This Pongal is going to be the biggest festival season for Kollywood as all the lead heroes are in the race.

The movies for Pongal releases confirmed this year are Karthi’s Siruthai, Dhanush’s Aadukalam, Tamilnadu Chief Minister Karunanidhi’s 75th film as a writer Ilaignan and most awaited film of Vijay’s Kaavalan.

‘Kaavalan’ is an upcoming Tamil romance film written and directed by Siddique. Starring Vijay and Vijay Thottumkal in lead roles, the film is the remake of the director’s own previous Malayalam film Bodyguard.

‘Aadukalam’ is the forthcoming Tamil movie directed by Vetrimaran. The film is a real life incident that happened in 1970’s in Madurai. This film has Dhanush and Taapsee Pannu in the main roles.

‘Siruthai’ brings Karthi and Tamannaah as the lead pair for the second time directed by Tollywood director Shiva. Karthi is playing dual role for the first time and the film is the remake of Telugu blockbuster Vikramarkudu.

‘Ilaignan’ is an upcoming Tamil Movie based on a novel written by Cheif Minister M. Karunanidhi’s novel. The film is directed by Suresh Krishna, who directs his 50th film. The film is scheduled for January 14th, 2011 release.
