Shankar’s ‘Nanban’ has started its shooting in Ooty and has completed the first schedule. Jeeva, Srikanth, S.J Surya, Ileana, cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa along with other crew have enjoyed working with director Shankar. Manoj Paramahamsa is the cinematographer of the film.Music for this movie is by Harris Jayaraj and he has already recorded a song, lyrics for few songs are penned by Madhan Karky of Endhiran fame and Na.Muthukumar is busy with a few more songs and the crew is working hard to make every song a hit.

Shankar has planned to start the second schedule of ‘Nanban’ in this month and Ilayathalapathy Vijay will be joining them in this schedule.

Recent sources has confirmed that Vijay will be in Shankar’s remake of ’3 Idiots’. Vijay will be joining the sets of ’3 Idiots’ on February 7th, 2011. The official shooting has already started in Ooty this month. Music for this movie is composed by Harris Jayaraj. He has already composed a song and this song will be filmed for the lead pair Vijay and Ileana on his first day on the sets.

After a long series of confusions, it has been finalized that Ilayathalapathy Vijay will play the lead role played by Aamir Khan in ’3 Idiots’ in Hindi. Stay tuned to Filmmy to get more updates regarding Shankar’s ’3 Idiots’.

It is well known that Shankar is directing the remake of the Hindi movie ’3 Idiots’ in Tamil . The shooting has been started today and is moving on a faster pace. The official shooting has started today in Ooty. Jeeva and Srikanth are part of this initial shots. The director, Shankar has planned to complete the scenes that has these two actors by the end of February. Suriya will be joining this team by March 1st, 2011. He is playing the role of Aamir Khan, while Jeeva and Srikanth are playing the other two roles of Madhavan and Sharman Joshi. Ileana is to pair with Suriya in this movie. Sathya Raj is playing the role of a professor, which was played by Bomman Irani in the original Hindi version of ’3 Idiots’.

The title of the movie is yet to be finalized by the director. Once everything gets set, the official launch of the movie will be conducted on a grand scale.

Vettaikaran is the next movie of Vijay. The film is directed by Babu Shivan, an assistant director of Dharani. The heroine of the movie is still under discussion. Sources say that it could be Illeana D’Cruz  or Nayanthara or Asin and some even say that it could be Tamanna.  It is worth noting that Villu stars Vijay and Nayanthara and hence it could be Asin and Illeana. However we will expect to get more information shortly.

Vijay is now at the top slot in the Tamil actors while Ajith, Suriya, Vikram and Jayam Ravi are not far away.

‘Kuselan’ is directed by P. Vasu and Seven Arts are jointly producing the film in Tamil. The film is a remake of Malayalam super hit film ‘Katha Parayumbol’. ‘Kuselan’ is bilingual film which is being made in both Tamil and Telugu. Actress Ileana was approached to play the heroine role opposite the Superstar Rajinikanth as the director thought that she would suit the role in both the languages.

The sources say that Ileana was not satisfied and she has refused the offer. So the director approached Nayantara to act in the film and asked her for the call sheet.

Prabhas and Ileana starrer movie Munna is going to be released in a day or two. After the movie is released, Prabhas has been roped in to play the lead role in the movie that will be directed by Puri Jagannath and will be produced under the banner of Creative Commercials by KS Ramarao. The official launch of the movie is going to take place in the month of August. In the meantime, Prabhas will be working for a movie that will be directed by Sukumar and BVSN Prasad will produce the flick.
