Embarrassing news for Vijay Fans. As Illayathalapathy Fans are much awaiting for ‘Kaavalan’ movie, it is announced that it will not hit the screens tomorrow. Now this time ‘Kaavalan’ is facing problem from the producer’s side as he owes 8.75 crores and needs to settle this amount to the concerned party before releasing the film. Now the mediators arranging to release the film at least on Saturday, January 15, 2011.

It is a big shock to Vijay fans as they are expecting Kaavalan’s release, which is going to be a very different film in Vijay’s career. Kaavalan is directed by Siddique and has Vijay and Asin on the main roles.

This Pongal is going to be the biggest festival season for Kollywood as all the lead heroes are in the race.

The movies for Pongal releases confirmed this year are Karthi’s Siruthai, Dhanush’s Aadukalam, Tamilnadu Chief Minister Karunanidhi’s 75th film as a writer Ilaignan and most awaited film of Vijay’s Kaavalan.

‘Kaavalan’ is an upcoming Tamil romance film written and directed by Siddique. Starring Vijay and Vijay Thottumkal in lead roles, the film is the remake of the director’s own previous Malayalam film Bodyguard.

‘Aadukalam’ is the forthcoming Tamil movie directed by Vetrimaran. The film is a real life incident that happened in 1970’s in Madurai. This film has Dhanush and Taapsee Pannu in the main roles.

‘Siruthai’ brings Karthi and Tamannaah as the lead pair for the second time directed by Tollywood director Shiva. Karthi is playing dual role for the first time and the film is the remake of Telugu blockbuster Vikramarkudu.

‘Ilaignan’ is an upcoming Tamil Movie based on a novel written by Cheif Minister M. Karunanidhi’s novel. The film is directed by Suresh Krishna, who directs his 50th film. The film is scheduled for January 14th, 2011 release.

Vijay’s much awaited movie ‘Kaavalan’ had its trailer launch function at the India Community Center, Milpitas California, USA on 16th December, 2010. This is the first time the trailer launch of an Indian film is held outside India. Vijay graced this event which was held at the Bay Area, California. He was happy with the warm welcome of his fans. Ilayathalapathi Vijay’s Bay Area fans arranged a 20-passenger “Hummer Limousine” as part of his royal welcome to the function.

Kollywood sources report that Vijay starrer ‘Kaavalan’ was initially announced as a Diwali release, but it seems that the film may not be a Diwali release. The shooting of ‘Kaavalan’ is not completed yet, still there are a few shots involving Asin, Vijay, the lead pair in the film has to be completed. Director Siddique and his team are planning to release the movie in December as there are some post production work to be completed for the movie.
