‘Urumi’ is an upcoming Malayalam movie. It is a historical epic film directed by Santosh Sivan. This movie has Prithviraj, Genelia D’Souza, Prabhu Deva and has Vidya Balan, Arya, and Tabu play a cameo roles in this film. It is a bilingual movie and will release in both Malayalam and Tamil simultaneously.After the movie ‘Pazhassi Raja’,this film is being made at a budget of more than 20 crore rupees and it considered to be the second most expensive Malayalam film.

Parvathi Menon who entered filmdom through Malayalam movies has completed her first Tamil and Kannada movies successfully.  Parvathi entered Malluwood with ‘Out of Syllabus’ and then she continued her career in Malluwood doing two more movies titled ‘Notebook’ and ‘Vinodayathra’. The movie ‘Notebook’ received a lot of accolades and with this success she entered Kannada film industry. Her debut film ‘Milana’ opposite Puneet Rajkumar. The movie was a record breaking hit.

She was out of Kannada movies for two years and concentrated in Tamil and Malayalam movies. She did critically acclaimed movies ‘Poo’ in Tamil and ‘Flash’ in Malayalam. Now Parvathi Menon is back to sandalwood. She is right now working in ‘Male Barali Manju Erali’ opposite Kitti.

One of the handsome guy in souther film industry is busy with his shooting schedules. The versatile actor has bagged more than ten movies and it is all under production. Among the offers, he has got a significant role to play in movies like ‘Ravan’ and  ‘The 19th Step’ in Tamil. He is also playing a role in the remake of Malayalam blockbuster ‘Classmates’ in Tamil as ‘Ninaithale Inikkum’. Prithviraj has balanced all the schedule and right now he is working hard to regain his top slot in Malayalam. Will there be date problems. Well there may be! Mammootty plays the lead role in the movie ‘Love in Singapore’. This movie is directed by Rafi Mecartin. The shooting of Love in Singapore is said start shooting on 9^th October 2008 in Karaikudi. October 9^th 2008 is a very auspicious day on the Hindu calendar as it is the day of Vijayadasmi. The team would later fly to Singapore to shoot the rest of the movie.

Keerthi Kulhar, a Mumbai based model plays the lead role in the movie ‘Love in Singapore’ with Mammootty. Keerthi Kulhar can be seen with the handsome Saif Ali Khan in the famous ‘Taj Mahal’ tea advertisement. Love in Singapore is produced by MHM films and will distributed by Vaisakha films. The movie ‘Love in Singapore’ is said to hit the silver screen on January 23^rd 2009.

Meera Jasmine is now and then connected with different men like Lokidas, S J Suryah, and Mandolin Srinivas. Meera Jasmine has earned the anger of the Malayalam film industry because she refused to act in the film Twenty-Twenty.

Currently Meera Jasmine is playing the lead role with Jagapathy Babu in Telugu film Bangaru Babu. A song sequence was to be shot in Kashmir, so the lead pair flew to Srinagar.

Both of them left for shooting from their hotel in separate cars. Jagapathy Babu’s car went on but Meera’s car being a little slower was caught in the middle of troublemakers at Konamarg, where protests are being held over the Amaranth temple land matter.

As stones were thrown at her car making small damages, Meera Jasmine went into a fear, not knowing what to do, untill the army stepped in as rescuer and escorted her. Because of this, shooting was cancelled.

Actress cum Singer Vasundhara Das who had made an remarkable and unveiling performance opposite Mohanlal in the chartbuster Ravanaprabhu and with Mammootty in Vajram is back to Mollywood.

Now, she is back playing the female lead opposite Suresh Gopi in a film titled Boss directed by Nissar. The film is produced by Shajahan under the banner of Royal Arts.

The other cast the movie are Jagathy Innocent, Vijayaraghavan, Harisri Asokan and Salim Kumar. Salu George is the cameraman for the movie.

Vasundhara plays the role of Pooja, a Kollywood actress in the film.  As per the story, she is forced to enter the life of the biggest goonda of the area, where group war is going on. It will be a challenging role for Vaundhara Das in the movie Boss.

Nayantara, who started her career in Malayalam films, is back again after a long gap of three years. At present, this prominent actress tops in both Kollywood and Tollywood. Nayantara will appear opposite Prithviraj in the movie Twenty: 20 to be directed by the popular Malayalam director Joshi. Superstars Mohanal, Mammootty, Suresh Gopi, Dileep, Jayaram and others are acting in this movie. The shooting for a song with Prithviraj was recently over at Chennai.

Actress Urvashi entered the film industry through the film ‘Mundhanai Mudichu’. She became famous in Tamil and Malayalam industry. The actress fell in love with actor Manoj K. Jayan and they got married in the year 2000. Now it seems they are facing some problems in their relationship. They have recently filed for divorce at a court in Chennai and have been separated on October 10th by the orders given by the court.

Manoj says that their daughter would be taken care of by his parents and he also hopes that she would be with him and continue her studies.

The sexy and beautiful actress Sherin has come back with the Tamil film ‘Urchagam’ with Nanda. She is very particular in selecting her forthcoming offers. She is selecting spicy and challenging roles. Sherin is currently in Kerala for the shooting of a Malayalam film. She says that after the release of ‘Urchagam’ she is getting many offers. She has chosen to act in the film ‘Vil’ opposite S.J. Suryah. Since she is acting in four languages she is not able to act in Hindi films, says Sherin.

She also says that she will be shifting permanently to Chennai with her mother. Sources close to Sherin say that there are lots of gossips about her but the actress is not bothered about them and she wants to make a place in the hearts of Tamil audience.

Meera Jasmine’s next Malayalam film is ‘Chembat’ which is directed by Logidadas. There were rumors that the actress and the director had some non-cordial relationship. Meera always used to refer the director as her adviser and guide. But, she has distanced herself from him for sometime and did not act in his films. Now again she is getting back and is going to act in the film which is directed by Logidadas.

When the director was asked about this, he said their relationship is fine and also said that Meera will be acting in his next film ’Chembat’. Logidadas’s Malayalam film ‘Naivedhyam’ is to be remade in Tamil. He said that he has plans of directing Kamal in his next film very soon.
