The 57th Idea Filmfare Awards was held on yesterday night in Mumbai in a grand manner. Ranbir Kapoor and Vidya Balan were awarded as a best actor and actress. Ranbir Kapoor as for his wonderful performance in ‘Rockstar’ and Vidya Balan for her bold performance in ‘Dirty Picture’ brought them a Filmfare award. The function was hosted by Shahrukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor.

‘Ladies vs Ricky Bahl’ is the forthcoming Bollywood movie features Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma in main roles. It is directed by Aditya Chopra and produced by Yash Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films. Its a debut movie for Priyanka Chopra’s cousin, Parineeti Chopra. The interesting thing is Ranveer Singh rapping for this movie. The movie is set to hit the big screens on December 9, 2011.

Bollywood queen Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her new born baby has discharged from Seven Hills Hospital on 22nd November at Mumbai. The entire Bachchan family was happy about the little new comer in to their home. Amitabh in an over joy said that Laxmi has arrived in their house. He said there was no any plan for the baby’s naming ceremony now and they fondly call her as Beti B. Amitabh Bachchan said that the Beti B was first taken to Prateeksha, the family’s second residence in Juhu, to seek the blessings of his late parents, poet Harivansh Rai and Teji Bachchan and then they headed for Jalsa.

Big B said that the baby looks like Aishwarya but few people in house believe that there is some resemblance with Abhishek. Abhishek added that “Aish is tired and very happy. The baby is very sweet and obedient. She does not cry much. The whole film industry and huge well-wishers and fans are congratulated the Bachchan family. Everyone is eagerly waiting for this cute angel’s name…

Filmfare awards 2011 winners. Shan Rukhan has got the best actor award at 56th Idea Filmfare Awards for his outstanding performance in My Name is Khan. The Udaan movie has got more number of this year filmfare awards. It bagged seven awards in total.

My name Is Khan bagged the most prestigious awards though. SRK won the best actor (male) award, Kajol bagged best actor (female) award and Karan Johar got best director award.Lifetime achievement award for this year was bestowed upon Prabodh Chandra Dey better known as Manna Dey in the Hindi Film Industry.

It seems there is some trouble in the release of Trisha’s debut Bollywood flick ‘Khatta Meeta’. For the first time Trisha pairs up with Akshay Kumar a top actor in Bollywood and the movie is expected to release very soon. But things are not favoring their release now the animal welfare organization has raised voice against the usage of an elephant to pull a bulldozer.

The sensor board had no objection for the scene, but the animals welfare association insist that the movie makers should get a no objection certificate. They also demanded that the movie must not be screened. So the director Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar are ready to remove this part with the scene so that the movie may be released without any problems.

Kareena kapoor’s fans have a happy news as she has launched her official website. With regards to this she said “This is my own site, my own space. I like the idea of leaving Post-it notes for my fans. I have created a special fan book where fans can write to me directly”.

Kareena has joined the FIFA 1GOAL, an international campaign that stresses the importance of education for all. Shruti Hassan has signed up with director Madhur Bhandarkar for the movie ‘Dil To Bachcha Hai Ji’. Shruti has expressed her willingness to join hands with the director’s first ever comedy flick. It was Madhur’s decision to  take Shruti into the movie after deciding that she will fit into the story.

This movie will be Shruti’s second film in the Bollywood. We all remember that her first movie blundered at the box office. So, lets hope that Shruti gets a successful reentry in Bollywood.
