It was the top news when it was announced as Andhra Pradesh-based distributor has bagged the Telugu dubbing rights of Superstar Rajinikanth starrer ‘Endhiran’ for a ‘whopping ` 30 crore’. But it is all fake. Producers of the film Sun Pictures has clarified that no such deal had been made so far. Two persons Udhayakumar, a production manager and his friend Surendran were arrested in Chennai on Tuesday for cheating the Tollywood distributor, Sri Tirupathi Tirumala Films, for collecting Rs two crores and the documents as advance.
Both of them have forged a letter head of Sun Pictures, and sold the Telugu rights of Endhiran. Sun Pictures COO Hansraj Saxena said “We have not sold any rights of ‘Endhiran’, to be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, overseas or satellite rights, to anyone. We have filed a complaint against Udhayakumar and his friend,”.
