The versatile and handsome actor of Tamil film industry is set to rock again with director Hari. Both the actor and the director are popular for their cop role and story. We have seen Suriya as Anbuselvan IPS in ‘Kakha Kakha’ and director Hari handling a different cop story in ‘Saamy’. Now in the upcoming flick Suriya is to play a role of sincere cop who fights against the sea smuggling. TheĀ  plot of the movie ‘Singam’ is said to revolve in and around Rameshwaram, well known for smuggling activities.

We can expect Suriya to be yet another Anbuselvan. The director and the actor have come together after their previous hit movie ‘Vel’. ‘Singam’ will have Anushka playing the female lead opposite Suriya. The crew also includes Prakash Raj and Vivek in a significant role.

  1. Menaka Baskaran says:

Surya has always prided himself in not repeating a role. His Anbuselvam from Kakaa Kakaa is so ingrained in the mind of movie goers it will be a travesty if he and director Hari were to recreate the character in some of its shade for Singam. Gautham Menon is such a classy and a thinking man’s director which alas Hari is not. The best bet for both Hari and Surya is to make sure they do not create another Anbuselvam in Singam. They have to create a very different cop in singam if not everyone will tear them to pieces. They better not touch Anbuselvam!!!!
I would love to see a sequel to KK — what happens to Anbuselvam — life after Maya. But it must be directed by Gautham Menon and no one else.

  2. Definitely a sequel to kaaka Kaaka would be awesome…
