Ilayaraja in Azhagar Malai

Isai Gnani Ilayaraja for the first time will appear on silver screen in a song sequence for the movie ‘Azhagar Malai’. The maestro will appear in his signature white costume. The director of the movie S.P. Rajakumar has requested the musical legend to appear on screen for a beautiful melody which is filmed recollecting the past memories of our very own legend. The song has been shot in various beautiful locales where Ilayaraja spent his childhood and youth days. The nostalgic memories include his school, college, a banyan tree, where he enjoyed his love life, his mother’s cemetery and the road which he uses to reach Ramana Ashram in Thiruvannamalai.

The legend has rendered his fullest cooperation to the movie team. His down to earth nature and professionalism has created an impact in the minds of the director and producer. In the song, he even walks without his footwear in the lanes of Thiruvannamalai. What a simple he is!
