Endhiran under Sun Pictures banner

Its official now! Sun Pictures, a unit of Sun TV, is to produce Endhiran, Rajini’s next blockbuster. Considering the movie’s budget, star cast and crew, it looks like Sun Pictures is finally going to make a break point in Kollywood. The star-studded movie is the brain child of ace director Shankar. It features Superstar Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai. Eros International which was about to produce ‘Endhiran’ sold it off to Sun Pictures due to financial crunches.
It is said that as Eros International suffered consecutive defeats in ‘Drona’ and ‘Yuvvraj’ recently, it was reeling under financial pressure. Hence the production house was looking for a suitable buyer who can manage this multilingual movie of Rs 165 crores worth. Sun Pictures, which offered the best price, took away the movie from Eros.
Sun Pictures which is a pretty young production house in Kollywood is known for its aggressive marketing skills. ‘Kadhalil Vizhundhein’, ‘Thenavattu’ and ‘Dindigul Sarathy’ are some of the recent flicks under its banner.
