“Phoonk” is a horror movie directed by director Ram Gopal Varma. The cast of Phoonk are Sudeep, Amruta Khanvilkar, Ahsaas Channa, Kenny Desai, Ashwini Kalsekar, Ganesh Yadav, Anu Ansari, Shankar Sachdev, K.K Raina, Madhuri Purandare, Zakir Hussain, Bharat Kaul, Geetanjali, Kishore Kadam, Jyothi Subhash, Shrey Bawa and Javed Rizvi. The movie is produced by Azam Khan. The background music has been scored by Amar Mohile.
The story of Phoonk is all about black magic. Rajeev (Sudeep) is a thriving Engineer and strong agnostic. Rajeev lives with his lovely wife (Amruta Khanvilkar) and two lovely children aged 10 and 8 respectively. Rajeev is a person who does not believe in God or in black magic. But one day a person like Rajeev too starts believing in God and Black Magic when he sees his daughter possessed by some evil power.
In the movie Phoonk there is another story about a revolutionary believer of God, who is forced to become an agnostic due to some shocking situations that have happened with that person. Zakir Hussain plays the role of a fakir, who is called in at the last hour to protect Rajeev’s child from black magic.
