Right from that time Lara has worked on different projects that involved in educating people on AIDS and has helped in the global awareness for women’s lack of rights and access to reproductive health services in India.

In 2008, Lara Dutta has also been given the prestigious ‘Rajiv Gandhi Award’ for her involvement in educating people along with her contribution to the field of entertainment by giving outstanding performances in her movies like Partner, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, Zinda, No Entry, etc
