CM Award Function for TV Serial Artists

The Chief Minister addressed an award function held in Chennai to announce grants to the makers of television serials and low-budget Tamil Films. He emphasized the importance of support given to the TV serial makers. He also said that the amount of grant provided to the producers of low-budget films may not be adequate, but however would support them.
Mrs. Raadhika Sarath Kumar and Kushboo, who received the awards for their participation in TV serials, thanked the Chief Minister for having instituted the scheme of awards. Raama Narayanan and M. Saravanan, film producers, applauded the award winning artists.
Among those who those who received the awards under different categories for TV serials are Rani Somanathan, Delhi Kumar, Ajay and Bharath. ‘Oruthi’, ‘Chidambarthil Oru Appasamy,’ ‘Kasu,’ and ‘Sasanam’ were among the films chosen for the grants.
